Installation Process

Open a web browser and navigate to the install.php file in the installed folder.
i.e.: http://www.YourDomain.com/install.php or
http://www.YourDomain.com/SomeFolder/install.php

Most of the configuration will be done for you by the software. This screen is supplied as a double-check security measure. If you don’t like the stated locations or configurations, then you will need to move the uploaded files to the desired directory or folder and re-run the installation.

Designate an “Invalid Page” if you have one. This is a page that users are redirected to if they hit the site accidentally without a personalized URL or landing page created. Defaults to YourDomain.com/install.html

Choose a login and password combination to your preference. Defaults to admin/admin.

• Enter in your MySQL database administrator username. If you do not have this, check with your administrator or webhost.
• Enter in your MySQL database administrator password. If you do not have this, check with your administrator or webhost.
• Enter in the MySQL hostname. About 99.999% of the time, this is “localhost” which is also the default. In rare cases, it can be an IP4 address which is 127.0.0.1 or, in Yahoo’s case, it might be “mysql”. If you are not sure, check with your administrator or webhost.
• Enter your MySQL database name. For the software to work optimally, it’s best that you supply this – don’t rely on the software to attempt configuration; use that as a last resort only.
• Supply an Admin Email. It can be any email address that you prefer, and you can change it later. This is used to help you if you lost your login and password combination, as well as to send you alerts.
• Give your site a title. Hey, be creative! You CAN change this anytime.

Okay, all systems check? The press the “Install” button!

If everything worked out alright, then you should see this screen. It will advise you that the software:
Successfully created the database
Successfully created all temporary directories
Successfully created Dynamic URLS login
Successfully added all Dynamic URLS tables to the database
Provide a link for you to login to the application and
Provide you with a quick visual reference to your chosen login and password combination.

We recommend you print this page or save it someplace safe on your hard drive for future reference.
