Importing Users

Your item has been removed.

This is tricky stuff, and if you have minimal experience with this sort of thing, it can get really frustrating!

Remember a couple of key points:

1. CLEAN and NORMALIZE YOUR DATA! This means it must be free and clear of all sorts of punctuation and stuff that could conceivably corrupt the import process. What do I mean by that? Well, COMMAS, APOSTROPHIES, PERCENT SIGNS, DOLLAR SIGNS, AMPERSANDS... anything that could be perceived as a delimiter.

How to fix this: Open your file, and perform a "search and replace". Yes, that WILL mean that names like "Peter O'Toole" will become "Peter OToole" but that's the way it goes.

Also, DON'T try to get the system to read an XLS file as a CSV file... it won't work.

Lastly, remember to set permissions on the folders to 777.

READ THE MANUAL!!!!
BACK UP YOUR DATA!!!
