Additional Configuration Requirements For Reporting & Clickheat Heapmaps
Installing the Reporting Module – Some Additional Steps Needed
After you have uploaded the Reporting Folder to the Modules folder on your server, the software will detect its presence and attempt to install it. You should be able to just accept the default prompts and it should install without incident.
After that is done, there is some additional work needed to smoothly integrate the Clickheat functionality. (Don’t worry… it’s pretty simple. Another walk through that guides you through the steps.)
This will take a few minutes to finish. Please don't stop or close your browser until you see the words "THE END" at the bottom. If the install process stops unexpectedly just restart it to make sure that you get all the way to the end, so you don't lose any needed data.
Make sure the following folders are set to full r-w-x (CHMOD 777) permissions:
• /purl_admin/modules/reporting/clickheat/cache/ (ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE REPORTING MODULE)
• /purl_admin/modules/reporting/clickheat/config/ (ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE REPORTING MODULE)
• /purl_admin/modules/reporting/clickheat/logs/ (ONLY IF YOU HAVE THE REPORTING MODULE)
ALSO: VERY VERY IMPORTANT!!!
You will need to use the SAME password in the Clickheat module as configured in the DynamicURLS Settings, or the function will not work.
Navigate to the following page on your website to continue with the install process:
http://www.YOURDOMAIN.com/ INSTALL_FOLDER/ purl_admin/modules/reporting/clickheat/index.php
If permissions are set correctly, you will see the screen with two green checkmarks.
We strongly recommend you to accept all the defaults on the page.
Enter in your Administrator username and password that you configured in the Settings during install of the Dynamic URLS script.
Click the “Check Configuration” button.
If configured properly, you should see a column of green checkmarks.
Do not alter the configuration of the script unless you absolutely positively know what you are doing!
Click on the “Save Configuration” button.
Congratulations, you have successfully installed the reporting module with added Clickheat functionality!
